first rub yellow mustard on the meaty side of the ribs,mix all ingredients in a bowl, rub well into meat and refrigerate 24hrs. the mustard will act as a bond for the dry rub and cook at 275 degrees for 3hrs. then remove the ribs from the smoker put the ribs on foil and add my secret ingredient, (aunt jamima) syrup 1/2 cup wrap tight cook another 30 minutes. check for tenderness then glaze with your favorite BBQ sauce.


1 cup of brown sugar 
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder 
1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt 
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper 
1/2 teaspoon of paprika 
1/2 teaspoon of onion powder 
1/2 teaspoon of chopped red pepper
1/2 teaspoon of chilli powder
